Project entitled: “Construction of a photovoltaic system for the needs of Fruit Producers Group Galster Sp. z o.o. in the field of storage, warehousing, and preparation of fruit for sale”, implemented under investments coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MRiRW), financed from the development plan of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP “KPO”).

The aim of the project is to accelerate private investments in the SME sector, implement sustainable production patterns, including environmental investments, and strengthen short supply chains.

As part of the project, the following tasks will be carried out:
1. Preparation of a business plan
2. Obtaining the necessary decisions and permits
3. Purchase and installation of photovoltaic panels on the warehouse and cold storage building, including an energy storage unit
4. Purchase and installation of photovoltaic panels on the ground for the storage and sorting building, including an energy storage unit
5. Investor supervision
6. Information boards
7. A dedicated subpage on the company website

The investment is related to the modernization of energy systems to ensure the best conditions for fruit storage and processing. The project assumes the installation of photovoltaic systems on two production facilities where fruit sorting, storage, and warehousing take place, in order to make the best use of energy resources and reduce energy costs during cooling processes.
It is also planned to implement modern energy management technologies through the installation of energy storage units and monitoring and management systems for photovoltaic installations, which will enable optimal management of total energy production using information and communication technologies. In addition, solutions will be introduced to allow local operations to be managed via a mobile phone application.

The outcome of the project will be the provision of optimal energy conditions for fruit storage and processing, thereby reducing production and financial losses associated with high energy costs. The company will partially reduce its dependence on external electricity suppliers, which will help maintain competitiveness and strengthen its market position.

Target group: Fruit Producers Group Galster and the recipients of products manufactured by GPO Galster — apples, cherries, pears, plums, and NFC pressed apple juice.
